It's a good time to update your VPN

A fair number of our customers use virtual private networks, or VPNs, which allow users to safely share data across public Wi-Fi and other potentially insecure networks. A recent alert from the NSA indicates that certain older VPN products are not so safe and need to be updated.

International hackers are exploiting older versions of virtual private network applications produced by Pulse Secure, Fortinet and Palo Alto Networks. The exploits potentially allow nefarious actors to remotely execute code and download files, as well as intercept encrypted network traffic.

Of course, whether you use the products listed above or not, it's a great idea to keep your VPN software up to date. Rest assured that we here at Clockwise do this as part of our security practices so we can keep your data safe.
